POLYPLAK CONTAINER INK
POLYPLUS CONTAINER INK
MONOPLAK (Multiplak)
DIAMOND
UVIMAX
PC INK FOR INDUSTRIAL GRAPHICS

POLYPLAK CONTAINER INK

Who Will Use It?

UV screen printers who print on containers and want a very opaque ink with great flexibility and excellent adhesion.

UV screen printers who want a single ink that will work on the majority of substrates used in container decoration in a variety of climates.

Substrates:

Polyplak will work on flame treated polyethylene (HDP, LDPE), polyethylene terephtalate (PET), treated polypropylene (PP), polycarbonates, some PVC.

Other substrates may provide adhesion, but testing must be done beforehand to verify performance. While sometimes the ink can work without flame treatment, Dubuit recommends flame treatment.

How To Use It:

Polyplak is a ready-to-print, NVP-free, and RoHS compliant ink with excellent intercoat adhesion when printing multilayer Dubuit inks.

Polyplak does not require a hardener or any additives for printing.

Always check surface tension as low surface tension of a substrate will prevent adhesion. While in some cases printing without flame treatment may work, Dubuit recommends flame treatment of all containers to be printed whenever possible, as some raw materials in the plastics can be of different quality and purity even in the same batch of containers.

POLYPLUS CONTAINER INK

Who Will Use It?

UV screen printers who print on containers and want a very opaque ink with great flexibility and excellent.

UV screen printers who want an ink with excellent chemical and water resistance.

Substrates:

Polyplus will work on most substrates used in container decoration, such as flame treated PP or PE (greater than 38 dynes), PVC, PETG and PETP. Other substrates may provide adhesion, but testing must be done beforehand to verify performance.

Appearance:

Available in Gloss and Matte.

How To Use It:

Polyplus is a ready-to-print, NVP-free, and RoHS compliant ink with excellent intercoat adhesion when printing multilayer Dubuit inks. Do not allow more than 24 hours between coats.

Polyplus requires a hardener, ST 305, from 3-5%, to improve water resistance.

Always check surface tension as low surface tension of a substrate will prevent adhesion. Dubuit recommends flame treatment of all containers to be printed, as some raw materials in the plastics can be of different quality and purity, even in the same batch of containers.

MONOPLAK (Multiplak)

Who Will Use It?

UV screen printers who want a Multipurpose ink with excellent adhesion on a variety and hard-to-adhere substrates, such as for POP, loose leaf, and promotional products, etc.

Printers interested in the quality results provided by the Thixotropic properties of this ink.

Substrates:

Monoplak can be used on the following substrates, among others:

styrene / coated paper/ coated board / HDPE flat sheets / print treated polyester / polystyrene / ABS / some coated metal / PSA films / rigid PVC / some acrylics/ certain polypropylenes, including treated fluted polypropylene (such as Coroplast™) / top surface polycarbonates / top surface print-treated polyesters.

Monoplak can work on other substrates. In all cases, printers must test the ink to ensure it meets the end user’s requirements.

Do not use Monoplak on materials with low dyne surface tension.
Do not use Monoplak on materials such as vinyl that contain a high level of plasticizer.

Appearance:

Standard colors have a gloss finish.
Process colors are available in gloss or matte finish.

How To Use It:

Monoplak is a ready-to-print, NVP-free, and RoHS compliant ink with excellent intercoat adhesion when printing multilayer Dubuit inks. This ink can be used without additives.

Monoplak does not require any additives for printing on corona treated polyolefins and treated fluted polypropylene, such Coroplast™ type substrates.

Monoplak has not been formulated for extended outdoor exposure. Contact us if you need extended outdoor exposure. Monoplak has been formulated to prevent blocking.

DIAMOND

Who Will Use It?

UV screen printers who want a Basic Multipurpose ink with excellent adhesion for POP applications, such as styrene, coated paper, coated board, etc. Diamond will require the addition of H- 0802 additive to printing on treated fluted polypropylene, such as Coroplast™.

Diamond's strength is its brilliance and its cost /benefit ratio that will yield for the POP printer superior results at a fraction of the cost of another series. Check surface tension for adhesion before printing. Diamond is not formulated for materials such as vinyl that contains a high level of plasticizer.

Appearance:

Standard colors have a very high gloss finish.
Process colors are available in a gloss or matte finish.

How To Use It:

Diamond is a ready-to-print, NVP-free, and RoHS compliant ink with excellent intercoat adhesion when printing multilayer Dubuit inks.

This ink can be used without additives, however it does require H-0802 additives for printing on corona treated polyolefins and treated fluted polypropylene, such Coroplast™ type substrates.

Diamond has not been formulated for extended outdoor exposure. Contact us if you need extended outdoor exposure. Diamond has been formulated to prevent blocking.

UVIMAX

Who Will Use It?

UV screen printers who want to print:
Vinyl banners

Pressure sensitive vinyl for decals

Static Cling

Print treated polyester for decals

Superior results will be achieved because of the Thixotropic properties of this ink.

Outdoor: UVIMAX is formulated for outdoor exposure; however when extended outdoor exposure is needed, please check with us and specify this when ordering.

Substrates:

UVIMAX has been formulated to contain the migration of plasticizer and to prevent blocking, even when both sides are printed.

When used on a vinyl banners, it is flexible, so the banner can be sewn.

UVIMAX has been formulated to prevent ink curl up especially on the edges when shrinkage occurs. In all cases the dyne level should be checked to ensure adhesion

Appearance:

Available in Gloss finish.

How To Use It:

UVIMAX is a ready-to-print, NVP-free, and RoHS compliant ink with excellent intercoat adhesion when printing multilayer Dubuit inks. This ink can be used without additives.

PC INK FOR INDUSTRIAL GRAPHICS

Who Will Use It?

UV screen printers in industrial graphics who print overlays, nameplates, and membrane switches second surface on polycarbonate and print treated polyester.

This extremely opaque flexible ink, which can be die cut and formed, is compatible with most commonly used adhesives, such as but not limited to 3M™467 and 3M™468 adhesives.

Appearance:

Opaque.

How To Use It:

PC is a ready-to-print, NVP-free, and RoHS compliant ink with excellent intercoat adhesion when printing multilayer Dubuit inks

This ink can be used without additives.

PC has not been formulated for extended outdoor exposure. Contact us if you need outdoor exposure.

PC provides excellent adhesion which can be tested using ASTM D 3359 with 3M™600 tape.

PC, in most cases, only needs one lamp to be cured.

PC, in addition to second surface printing, can sometimes be used for first surface; however testing prior to printing is needed.

Using PC, printers can print multilayers of this very opaque ink.
